If you’re a stay-at-home mom or homemaker, you may want to try making a little extra money by turning to survey sites online. Survey sites pay you in some form for sharing your opinion about products and services. Some of the sites even send you stuff to try out at home in return for completing a survey about the product.

If you can find a site that’s compatible with you, you can earn enough to pay the monthly internet bill or treat yourself to your favorite restaurant. With survey sites, you never have to check in with anyone or work at any specific time; instead, you can work whenever you have time.

If you want to work while sitting in your undies, that’s totally up to you.

That’s just one of the advantages of taking surveys from home. Survey sites can be a fun, exciting way to earn some extra cash, but you have to be careful of the ones who are only out to steal your information, scam you in some way, or just not ever pay you.

This is a review about one of those sites, VIP Voice. Read to the end to find out if this site is legit or not.

Who is VIP Voice?

Since you have opinions about the products and services you use, VIP Voice wants you to share those opinions by participating in their surveys. The purpose of their surveys is to give companies and businesses an idea of how consumers feel about them.

Their logo is ”Make An Impact” and they want you to do that by taking surveys. VIP Voice is owned by a parent company, NPD Group, a legit paid survey site which was founded in 1967 and is one of the biggest marketing data providers to Fortune 500 companies.

The NPD Group conducts market research for hundreds of manufacturers and retailers. Not only are they listed with the BBB, but they also have a high rating from them as well. This company has had only two complaints lodged against them and both of them have been resolved. It seems that this company really cares about its reputation.

Let’s hope that extends to their survey group VIP Voice.

How do you earn rewards?

On VIP Voice, you don’t actually make money or even redeem points for cash or gift cards. Instead, you earn points that you can use for entering sweepstakes (SweepLand) or auctions (BidLand).

SweepLand offers the chance to win prizes such as cash, electronics, or vacations. BidLand allows members to bid in auctions for products and services.

Whoever bids the most by the end of the auction wins and everyone else gets their points sent back to them. Also, there are instant win opportunities as well. The points you gain by completing surveys are ”VIP Points”. Using these points, thousands of consumers win sweepstakes or auctions every month.

The Pros and Cons of VIP Voice

What I like about this VIP Voice is that it’s free to join.

There seems to be a fair amount of surveys to choose several times a week. Most of the surveys offered are fairly short, being 5-15 minutes in length.

Some of the prizes won by users have included digital cameras, mountain bikes, wireless MP3 speakers, HDTV sets, flip-video recorders, to name a few. Also, there are daily sweepstakes for $50.

One of the best things I found was that VIP Voice offers a $5,000 scholarship opportunity for students. The more surveys you participate in, the more points you get. For instance, you may only get 50 points for the first survey, but your third one you’ll get 75, the fifth one you’ll get 100, and so on.

There are several things I don’t like about VIP Voice.

First, I don’t like the fact that you don’t actually earn money. I don’t mind the points, but I would prefer to redeem points for cash or gift cards, not entries for a sweepstakes where you might very well be wasting your points.

The auction might not be too bad if you don’t end up having to spend too many points to acquire things.

Checking out the online reviews, though, this site is ranks in the bottom ten of all survey sites. Users claim they participated sometimes for several years and had never won a thing. That’s why I don’t like being paid in chances to win. I prefer money.

Another thing users complained about is that they don’t let you know how much the surveys are worth beforehand; you have to complete them to even find out. They also say there are only a couple of new surveys per week.

Is VIP Voice legit site or scam site?

Even though VIP Voice isn’t exactly a scam, I’m still very disappointed with this site. When I read about its parent company, I actually got excited; I figured this one would be pretty good. It’s not.

Unless you want to do endless surveys that you have no idea what are worth until you’ve finished, for a chance to win something that you probably won’t, and end up not only wasting your time, but also you points, I suggest you choose another site.
