OnePoll Review
Survey sites, or panels, are online sites that offer incentives for members to complete surveys by offering their opinions on various services and products they have tried or used. These sites offer various ways of redeeming payment, but usually award cash or gift cards.
Lots of people turn to survey sites for making extra cash. These sites are extremely popular with stay-at-home moms and homemakers. It’s no wonder, either! Survey sites pay for your opinion and you can use the earned money to treat yourself to a movie or manicure.
One of the most popular positives about these sites is that you can earn extra dough right from your own computer sitting in your own home. You don’t have to answer to any boss and you don’t have assigned hours. You can work when you want to and how long you want to.
How much you earn is basically up to you. Survey sites have become very popular in the last few years, so you have to be careful not to join a site that’s a scam. Some of these sites don’t pay out or even worse, they sell your personal information to a third party.
This review is for OnePoll. Read to find out if this site is a scam or not.
Is OnePoll a real company?
OnePoll is a one of many survey sites. Registration is open to anyone over 18, as it is on all survey sites, and is available in six countries, including the United States. Their page was very professional and was obviously to impress clients.
At first I thought maybe I had the wrong page, as there was no mention of surveys for money. Once I clicked on Member Login/Member Signup, it took me to another page with a short member application asking for first and last names, your email, and your acceptance of their terms and conditions.
They offer a $5 sign on bonus, which I thought sounded almost too good to be true. After confirming your email, you are then brought to a page asking for more in-depth personal questions such as nationality, nearest city, marital status, occupation, how many children you have, gender, dates of births, and telephone number.
This is where I stopped and the rest of this information I’ve pooled from various other reviews. I refuse to give my phone number to any website for any reason. Honestly, I can’t think of one reason why they would even need my phone number.
Also, I noticed in the bottom right hand corner, a checked box for ”Post to Facebook”. If you don’t notice that and you finish signing up, it’s going to post to your Facebook account.
Anyway, their Privacy Policy is a little scary. They promise that you can ”Please be assured that we will never disclose your Data to a third party in such a manner that could lead to identification of you as an individual.” There is no such clause stating they won’t sell, trade, or give your personal information away.
Additionally, in their Terms and Conditions, they reserve the right to shut down the website after giving members only five days’ notice and they also reserve the right to close your account if they feel you aren’t provided answers of adequate quality, such as you are going through a survey too fast.
How to earn OnePoll rewards
In order to make money with OnePoll, you can start by joining and receiving a $5 sign-on bonus. From there, you take surveys generally worth $.25-$1, but some can be worth as much as $3-$5.
In addition, you also get a $2 bonus each time one of your friend referrals hits the $20 mark themselves. It can all add up fairly nice. Once you achieve $65, you can cash out with PayPal; it’s the only option available.
Processing usually takes 2-3 weeks, but your money will go directly to your PayPal account.

The good about OnePoll
I love that OnePoll offers a $5 sign-on bonus, but at the same time, it also makes me a bit leery. After all, I’ve been doing a lot of these legit paid survey site reviews. The surveys seem to pay out fairly well, too, and there seems to be plenty of them.
You just have to remember that this site doesn’t email you alerts to new surveys. Instead, you have to log on to see what’s new. This site also seems to be very well connected with the business world and works with a lot of top brands.
OnePoll has excellent customer service; responses to emails are within 24 hours. In addition, OnePoll also has a mobile app for those who’d like to take surveys on the go.
The bad about OnePoll
What I don’t like is the fact they wanted my phone number, first of all. Then both their Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions left a lot to be desired in my opinion.
I couldn’t find a whole lot of information for their US site, but the other countries had lots of complaints about not having a variety of surveys, very limited rewards, how much you have to attain for payout, and then having to wait up to almost a month to receive payment.
I did find that US members complained the payout amount was too high to reach conceivably. $65 is the industry high for requested payout amount and it is a lot. I’d hate to think of earning $50 and then not being able to get the last $15!
Is OnePoll legit or a scam?
Although OnePoll doesn’t seem to be a scam, I feel they are a bit shady at least. Their Privacy Policy doesn’t exactly promise not to share your personal information and they ask for your telephone number which is completely unnecessary.
It does have the $5 sign-on bonus, but you have to reach $65 to cash out. With their ”we only have to give you five days notice to shut down the site” clause, I’d be afraid to even attempt trying to save that much.
My advice, look for another site. I just don’t feel this one is safe. If you want more information, read over their Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and other reviews. Always research a survey site before joining!
